Through this service, you can request the issuance of a social care facility license or a social care facility branch in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi

  • Service terms and conditions: UAE nationals and legal person “non-governmental entities” who meet the conditions can apply for the issuance of a social care facility license in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and social care facilities operating in other emirates can apply for a license for a branch of a social care facility to practice its activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
  • Required Documents:

First Stage: 

  1. Copy of publicity decision “if applicant public benefit institutions”
  2. Copy of the establishment law/decree “if applicant government entity”
  3. Valid Copy of The Emirates ID front and back of the partners, and applicant representatives
  4. Valid copy of the main page of passport for partners, and applicant representatives
  5. Copy of the academic qualifications and experience certificates of the partners
  6. Certificate of good conduct and a certificate of no criminal status
  7. Applicant curriculum vitae “only if applicant family consulting centre
  8. Social care facility license "in case of request to establish a branch" 

 

Second Stage:

  1. Copy of the building inspection request 
  2. Copy of the land map of the facility site  
  3. Copy of the building plan showing the dimensions and sizes of rooms, halls, corridors, and sanitary facilities 
  4. Copy of the title deed in case the building is owned by the license applicant or a copy of the lease contract 

 

Third Stage:

  1. Valid copy of the trade license issued by the Department of Economic Development in case the application is to establish a commercial company
  2. Certificate of fulfilment of the conditions and requirements of the Department of Municipalities and Transport
  3. Certificate of fulfilment of civil defense conditions and requirements
  4. Conformity certificate from the Monitoring and Control Centre
  5. Insurance policy against liability for professional errors of the facility’s employees
  6. Document that clarifies or proves the solvency and financial sustainability of the facility and provides an economic feasibility study showing the estimated budgets of the facility for a period of 3 years.
  7. Valid Copy of The Emirates ID front and back of the administrative and professional staff
  8. Valid copy of the main page of passport for administrative and professional staff
  9. Copy of the academic qualifications and experience certificates of the entity director, and the staff
  10. Certificate of good conduct and a certificate of no criminal statusfor Staff

 

  • Service Steps:
  1. Submit the application and the required documents through the available channels
  2. Receive DCD update to submit additional information or supported document if needed
  3. Receive a notification of the date of the site visit by the Department of Community Development for the reconnaissance
  4. Receive final decision on request to Issue social care facility/facility branch license through the available channel
  5. Receive a notification from the Department of Community Development regarding the start of providing services to beneficiaries

    • Licensing fees for social care facilities for people with disabilities "People of Determination": AED 10,000
    • Family counselling establishments licensing fees: AED 5,000
