Inspired by the values and wisdom of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the United Arab Emirates, Medeem is an initiative launched by the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi. Created to support the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Family Wellbeing Strategy, Medeem aims to ensure that all marriages in the emirate of Abu Dhabi are established on solid foundations. This in turn will lead to life-long happy marriages, and strong and stable families that contribute towards building a cohesive and prosperous society.

Abu Dhabi Integrated Strategy to Combat Addiction

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Community Development (DCD) has launched the Abu Dhabi Integrated Strategy to Combat Addiction. Its aim is to protect society from drugs and help individuals remain productive members of society. As part of the strategy, a host of programs are to be initiated in collaboration with DCD’s partners to educate community members about the dangers of drugs and help patients to reintegrate into families and society.
