What is “Reyada” Quality Assessment Framework?

It is a framework to assess the quality of social care services provided by the social care facilities, to achieve the regulatory vision of the Department of Community Development (DCD) and enhance the quality of social care services offered to beneficiaries in the emirate.

The “Reyada” Quality Assessment Framework represents a pioneering initiative within DCD’s strategy to improve the quality of social care services. It aims to transform the concept of social care by continuously improving service quality in Abu Dhabi through a comprehensive and structured approach, seeking to establish a culture of quality and excellence in service provision, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of beneficiaries in line with the highest international standards.

The Scope

Private, governmental and third sector facilities, providing social care services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The principles

The framework is a unique regulatory tool that specialises in defining the quality standards of social care services in addition to establishing a platform that includes decision-makers, policymakers and service providers for the purpose of continuous improvement.

Reyada is based on fundamental principles including:

  • Continuous improvements
  • Innovation and sustainability

The Objective

  • Standardize the principles of delivering high-quality social services
  • Improve the quality of the social services in Abu Dhabi

The Domains

The “Reyada” Quality Assessment Framework is based on 5 domains that ensure the achievement of its objectives, which are:
  • Leadership & Governance: Evaluate the direction and management of the organization
  • Effectiveness: Ensure services towards desired outcomes and impact
  • Sustainability: Focus on the long-term viability and continuous enhancement of services
  • Safety: Ensure the protection and well-being of beneficiaries
  • Beneficiary Centricity: Emphasize meeting the diverse needs of those in care

DCD Partner

To ensure the desired outcomes of the framework and to reinforce the regulatory vision of the Department of Community Development regarding the enhancement of social care service quality, collaboration was established with the Emirates Classification Society (Tasneef), one of the local leaders in quality assurance. This partnership aims to foster innovation and improve the level of services provided.

Emirates Classification Society (TASNEEF) and its partner, Italian classification society (RINA) is an International Certification Body based in UAE, who works to guarantee excellence through Certification, R&D and Training.

TASNEEF is a government entity owned by the Ministry of Defense of UAE established to add value by serving the interests of UAE through its subsidiaries.
