The Department of Community Development (DCD), the regulator of the social sector in Abu Dhabi, is hosting the second edition of the Third Sector Forum in Abu Dhabi under the slogan ‘Partners in Impact.’
The forum will take place on Monday, November 6, at the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. Sessions will focus on how government sector, non-profit organisations, social institutions, semi-governmental entities, the private sector, and the Abu Dhabi community are involved in activities that will build an empowering social system and grow their participation in tackling key social priorities through initiatives and innovative solutions.
On the agenda for the forum are several roundtables that will host discussions on the importance of enabling the third sector to achieve social impact. The forum will also feature a range of panels and interactive workshops focusing on the third sector framework pillars such as “partnerships” and “capabilities”, in addition to highlighting social priorities that have been gathered and identified through the first forum. There will also be a designated space where non-profit organisations will showcase their roles and goals along with their community contributions.
The Third Sector Forum is held on a regular basis to ensure alignment of Abu Dhabi’s third sector, and strategic partners due to their vital role in achieving a cohesive and responsible community. . DCD believes in the importance of close collaboration with stakeholders and partners to contribute to the development of society, benefiting all its members.
