Dr. Bushra Al Mulla, Executive Director of the Community Development Sector at the Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi, said in a speech on the occasion of International Women's Day that this day represents a global celebration of the success achieved by women in various fields while adhering to their traditions, culture and identity, as well as the continuous commitment they show in being an active member in charitable activities, expressing her pride that women in the UAE have been and still are a representation of comprehensive development.
Al Mulla added that women in the UAE have become an exemplary success story globally, to be emulated in different fields such as: political field, economic and social fields. We celebrate women’s day everyday by empowering their abilities and creativity and are living in the Emirati in advancement.
She explained, that the women in the UAE are given a keen interest by the wise leadership to position their pride and dignity in the country, Looking after Emirati women is an extended heritage since the establishment of the UAE where Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan -peace be upon him- respected women and made them an essential member of the country playing an effective role in its growth and development.
She continued: “Women today positions their status in all fields with a spirit full of responsibility and ready to take up a challenge during emergent crises such as the current pandemic of COVID-19. Where her commitment and responsibility to her family and work surfaced and became an idol in a overcoming challenges and transforming them into opportunities.
