On the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, congratulated H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the ‘Mother of the Nation,’ for her role in assisting, advancing, and empowering Emirati women.
His Excellency highlighted the exceptional contributions of women, their vital role in the development and sustainable advancement of the nation, as well as the support they provide to the comprehensive community development system.
His Excellency added that this year’s theme for the Emirati Women’s Day, which is ‘Inspiring Reality…Sustainable Future’ reflects the unique position that Emirati women have achieved, as a result of receiving the right opportunities for success, largely owing to the wise leadership’s trust and support that enabled them to create a better and more sustainable future. He continued to highlight that the Emirati woman has, and continues to be, a driving force on the path of development and accomplishments achieved by the UAE since its foundation.
Moreover, His Excellency also emphasised that Emirati women's presence, contributions, and excellence reflect the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s unwavering belief that women not only represent half of the society in terms of population, but also share responsibility for raising the younger generation in a sound and integrated manner, as well as assist the society in its advancement.
