H.E. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, highlighted that the Commemoration Day serves as the ideal occasion to celebrate the sacrifices and heroic deeds of brave Emirati Martyrs, who gave their life in the line of duty to safeguard and serve the homeland. He expressed his pride in the country’s various remarkable accomplishments, its rich history, present, and future.
In a message on Commemoration Day, HE stated that the occasion is among the most significant and meaningful to all the Emiratis. He expressed his great pride in the selfless deeds of the valiant martyrs, who fought for justice and peace as well as sacrificed everything to defend their country. “They raised the Emirati flag high as they carried out their patriotic duties inside and outside the country, in all civil, military, and humanitarian fields,” he added.
HE underlined the significance of this occasion, as it honours the UAE martyrs and serves to keep their sacrifices and memories alive in the hearts of the Emiratis. Additionally, it inspires all citizens to contribute to the welfare of the nation, its prosperity, and uphold its core values. He emphasised that by reaching out to the families of the martyrs, offering them all support and assistance, in recognition of the heroic sacrifices their children made, the UAE leadership demonstrates the best example of humanitarian leadership.
HE further expressed his sincere gratitude to the martyrs’ families for fostering the love for their homeland in their children, who sacrificed everything in defending it and ensuring its growth.
