The sector focuses on improving all the elements of a healthy and dynamic life in Abu Dhabi, as the emirate prepares for greater involvement in sports and other active recreational pursuits. Working closely with other government agencies, non-profit organisations, and the private sector, the Community Engagement and Sports Sector creates policies, laws, and frameworks to encourage participation in high quality recreational activities across Abu Dhabi. This is done through community engagement, data gathering, and keeping a close eye on global trends to deliver innovative programmes and new and emerging opportunities that get more people involved in sport.
